The New Orleans Saints made a practice squad transaction on Thursday, signing linebacker Todd Davis and terminating the contract of safety Pierre Warren. Davis, an undrafted rookie from Sacramento State, was released when the team cut its roster to 53 men on Aug. 30 and signed to the practice squad after he cleared waivers.On September 3, the Saints then cut Davis from the practice squad, in order to sign quarterback Ryan Griffin.

Warren was an undrafted rookie out of Jacksonville St.

On Thursday, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton talked about the necessity of the move, and the team's preparation for Sunday's home opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
