For 44 minutes and 49 seconds, junior guard Brandi Schambough sat and waited.

Inserted into the game for the first time with eleven seconds left in overtime, the walk-on from St. Thomas More nailed a three pointer three seconds after she entered the game as Louisiana's women's basketball team defeated Nebraska-Omaha in overtime, 62-60 Monday afternoon at Earl K. Long Gym.

The win snapped a seventeen game losing streak for the Cajuns (6-22).

Nabraska-Omaha (15-12) had double digit leads in both halves, but each time the Cajuns were able to rally.

Krystal Motley led the Cajuns with 26 points.  Michelle Brunker and Brooklyn Arceneaux added twelve points each.

The Cajuns will celebrate senior day with their final regular season game Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe at the Cajundome.
