San Francisco 49ers Fan Dies After Fall At Game

A San Francisco 49ers fan died after a fall, shortly after kickoff during Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Green Bay Packers at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, California.
According to reports, a man, thought to be between 30-39 years of age, fell from an elevated pedestrian, the Jamestown walkway, that surrounds the stadium just after 1:30 (pdt).
Off-duty medics, along with police officers, provided first-aid, but the man was pronounced dead before an ambulance arrived.
Last month, Ronald Lee Homer Jr., an Atlanta Braves fan, died after falling at Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to the Institute for the Study of Sports Incidents, since 2003, there have been more than two dozen cases of fans falling at stadiums across the United States.
