The New Orleans Saints injury report Wednesday had two HUGE cogs on defense sitting out with injuries.

Linebacker Curtis Lofton (ankle) and cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee) both sat out Wednesday. Lewis suffered a knee injury in Sunday's loss to San Francisco, but played through major swelling late in the game. Lofton (pictured left), a team captain, is in the midst of the best season of his pro career.

Also missing practice for New Orleans was the following: P Thomas Morstead (illness), RB Khiry Robinson (forearm), RB Edwin Baker (concussion).

Running back Pierre Thomas returned to practice for the first time in 3 weeks, participating in individual drills on a limited basis.

Limited in practice was RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) and linebacker David Hawthorne (hand).

The Saints host the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday at noon.

Cincinnati had several players miss practice today, including the following: RB Giovani Bernard (Hip/Clavicle), LB Vontaze Burfict (Knee), TE Jermaine Gresham (Thigh), S Taylor Mays (Foot), OL Mike Pollak (Knee), DB Terence Newman (Knee).
