As the New Orleans Saints prepare to battle the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday's season opener in Tempe, five members of the Black and Gold have been declared OUT with injuries.

Running back C.J. Spiller, cornerback Keenan Lewis, safety Jairus Byrd, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, and linebacker Davis Tull will not play on Sunday. Running Back Tim Hightower is probable.

New Orleans must list 8 inactives on game day, and will only have 3 decisions to make.

Arizona only lists one player as OUT in starting left guard Mike Iupati. The Cardinals list three players as questionable in wide receiver Michael Floyd, tight end Jermaine Gresham, and tight end Troy Niklas.

Lewis is expected to miss a minimum of a month after undergoing hip surgery last week, while Byrd spent the preseason on PUP (physically unable to perform), Ellerbe missed all of training camp after the first preseason game, and C.J. Spiller underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last month.

Tull played in three preseason games, but has not practiced this week.

New Orleans kicks off their regular season Sunday in Arizona against the Cardinals. Kickoff is set for 3:05.
