The New Orleans Saints are back in action on Sunday afternoon, when they travel to San Diego, California to face the San Diego Chargers in an NFC/AFC match-up.

Kickoff time at Qualcomm Stadium is scheduled for 3:25 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The Chargers lead the all-time series, 7-4, but the Saints have won three of the last four meetings, including a 31-24 victory back in 2012, the last time the two franchises met.

New Orleans dropped their third-consecutive game to begin the 2016 season last week, falling to the Atlanta Falcons, 45-32, to drop to 0-3 on the young season, while San Diego lost to the Indianapolis Colts, 26-22, falling to 1-2.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 26.3 points-per-game, along with 423.0 total yards, including 341.7 passing yards, and 81.3 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 1,062 yards and 8 touchdowns, along with running back Mark Ingram, who has rushed for 165 yards on 36 carries, and receiver Brandin Cooks, who has caught 15 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

The Chargers, offensively, are averaging 29.0 points, 367.0 total yards, 253.0 passing yards, and 114.0 rushing yards a game last season.

San Diego is paced by quarterback Philip Rivers, who has passed for 793 yards and five touchdowns, along with running back Melvin Gordon, who has rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns, and receiver Travis Benjamin, who has compiled 17 receptions for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 448.3 yards-per-game, including 299.0 passing yards and 149.3 rushing yards, while the Chargers have allowed 403.7 total yards, including 322.0 passing yards and 81.7 rushing yards.
