The New Orleans Saints are back in action on Thursday evening, when they hit the road to take on the Carolina Panthers in an NFC South showdown.

Kickoff time at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina is scheduled for 7:325pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The game, which is for first place in the NFC South, is the final road game for the Saints before they embark on a three-game homestand.

The Saints defeated the Green bay Packers last week, 44-23, to improve to 3-4 on the season, while the Panthers, who lost to the Seattle Seahawks, 13-9, are currently 3-4-1.

Carolina leads the all-time series, 20-18, and have outscored New Orleans, 800-789, in the 38 match-ups between the two franchises, which dates back to 1995.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 28.4 points, 445.3 total yards, 312.3 passing yards, and 133.0 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 2,227 yards and 14 touchdowns, running back Mark Ingram, who has accumulated 331 rushing yards with four touchdowns on 58 touches, and tight end Jimmy Graham, who has compiled 435 receiving yards, along with four touchdowns, on 39 catches.

The Panthers, offensively, are averaging 20.9 points, 332.5 total yards, 239.6 passing yards, and 92.9 rushing yards a contest.

Carolina is paced by quarterback Cam Newton, who has passed for 1,643 yards and eight touchdowns, running back Jonathan Stewart, who has rushed for 317 yards and one touchdown, and Kelvin Benjamin, who has 38 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 390.4 yards-per-game, which ranks 28th in the league, while the Panthers are allowing 378.5, which ranks 21st.

After tonight, the Saints are play three-consecutive home games, against the likes of San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Baltimore.
