The New Orleans Saints return to action on Monday night, when they play host to the Detroit Lions, in a match-up of NFC foes.

Kickoff time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. is scheduled for 7:30 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The game marks the seventh of eight home games that the Saints will play this year.

New Orleans snapped their four-game losing streak last week, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-17, and will enter the game at 5-8, while Detroit fell to the St. Louis Rams, 21-17, and is currently 4-9.

The Saints lead the all-time series between the two franchises, 12-10-1, including a 24-23 win over the Lions last season.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 24.8 points-per-game, along with 395.0 total yards, including 301.2 passing yards, and 93.8 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 3,794 yards and 25 touchdowns, along with running back Mark Ingram, who has rushed for 769 yards and 6 touchdowns, and receiver Brandin Cooks, who has caught 64 passes for 869 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Ingram was placed on the injured reserve list two weeks ago, and will miss the final four games of the season.

The Lions, offensively, are averaging 20.5 points, 340.8 total yards, 261.5 passing yards, and 79.3 rushing yards a game.

Detroit is paced by quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has thrown for 3,409 yards and 24 touchdowns, running back Ameer Abdullah, who has rushed for 437 yards and one touchdown, and receiver Calvin Johnson, who has caught 71 passes for 981 yards and 7 scores.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 418.8 yards-per-game, including 278.8 passing yards and 131.1 rushing yards, while the Lions are allowing 348.5 total yards, including 232.6 passing yards and 115.9 rushing yards.
