Veteran cornerback Sterling Moore was released by the New Orleans Saints today, according to multiple reports, and first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Moore started for the Saints last season after the secondary dealt with several injuries, registering 44 tackles and 2 interceptions.

This season, Moore appeared in weeks 1 and 2, but hasn't been activated since.

New Orleans secondary has been trending up with the superb play of first round rookie Marshon Lattimore, among others.

A 7 year veteran out of SMU, Moore has played for 5 different teams.
