The New Orleans Saints are back in action on Thursday evening, when they hit the road to take on the Carolina Panthers in an NFC South showdown.

Kickoff time at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina is scheduled for 7:25 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on 97.3 The Dawg.

The Panthers lead the all-time series between the two franchises, 23-20, but the Saints won the match-up earlier this season, defeating Carolina, 41-38, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans in week five.

New Orleans, who fell to the Denver Broncos, 25-23, on Sunday, has won four of their last six games, and is 4-5 on the season, while Carolina, who lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, 20-17, will enter the match-up at 3-6.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 29.4 points-per-game, along with 427.7 total yards, including 322.7 passing yards, and 105.0 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 2,992 yards and 24 touchdowns, along with running back Mark Ingram, who has rushed for 547 yards and two touchdowns, and receiver Michael Thomas, who has caught 51 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns.

The Panthers, offensively, are averaging 24.6 points, 366.7 total yards, 252.8 passing yards, and 113.9 rushing yards a game this season.

Carolina is paced by quarterback Cam Newton, who has passed for 1,994 yards and 10 touchdowns, along with running back Jonathan Stewart, who has rushed for 334 yards and four touchdowns, and tight end Greg Olsen, who has compiled 50 receptions for 712 yards and three touchdowns.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 400.6 yards-per-game, including 292.7 passing yards and 107.9 rushing yards, while the Panthers have allowed 351.6 total yards, including 272.6 passing yards and 79.0 rushing yards.
