The New Orleans Saints are riding high, 6-1, leading the NFC South, and have stayed relatively healthy so far this season. Unfortunately, they received some bad news on Halloween when it was reported by Ian Rapoport National Insider for the NFL Network and NFL.com that defensive end Marcus Davenport will be sidelined for about a month with a toe injury:

A very tough break for the rookie who was having a strong start to his NFL career with 11 combined tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, and two passes defended.

It's being reported that he'll miss about a month and then we'll be evaluated after that to see where he is physically.

The team will now rely upon the veteran Alex Okafor more, potentially Trey Hendrickson who has not played a lot for the team this season and maybe sign a free agent to come in and help out.

The Saints have a tough task this weekend when they face off against the number one team in the NFC in the undefeated Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon in the Super Dome.
