The New Orleans Saints made a couple of roster moves on Tuesday, prior to their NFC Wild-Card Playoff game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.

The Saints placed running back Mark Ingram and linebacker Will Herring on the season-ending injured reserve list on Tuesday, and replaced them on the roster with offensive guard Eric Olsen and linebacker Nate Bussey.

Ingram, who rushed for 474 yards and five touchdowns in his rookie year, is expected to have season-ending surgery on an injured toe on his left foot on Wednesday.

Herring suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in the Saints' 45-17 win against the Panthers on Sunday.

Bussey was promoted from the Saints' practice squad, while Olsen was signed off the practice squad of the Washington Redskins.

Kick-off time on Saturday is set for 7 pm.
