The New Orleans Saints will be without a key member of their offensive line for the remainder of the NFL Playoffs.

Offensive guard Andrus Peat suffered a broken left fibula in the team's 31-26 Wild Card Round victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, and will be unavailable for the rest of the postseason.

Peat went down at the 12:38 mark of the second quarter, prior to which medical personnel came onto the field, and then signaled for the cart.

Before placing Peat on the cart, trainers placed an air cast on Peat's left leg.

Senio Kelemete entered the game and replaced Peat at left guard.

The 24-year old Peat, who the Saints selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, appeared in 15 games this season, including 14 as a starter, after starting 15 games a season ago.

The Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday in the Divisional Round.
