The New Orleans Saints are 10-3 on the year, and are on the verge of winning the NFC South.

The Saints lead the second place Atlanta Falcons (8-5) by two games in the NFC South, and can clinch the division this Sunday, with a win over the Minnesota Vikings, coupled with an Atlanta loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Division championships never come easy in the NFL, but the Saints have their sights set much higher.

New Orleans is currently tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the second-best NFC record, with three game to play.

That's big, because not only would the second-seed draw a first-round playoff bye, but would also host a Division Playoff game.

That would be a big advantage for the Saints who are a perfect 6-0 at home this year.

The 49ers currently hold the tie-breaker advantage over the Saints, via the better conference record, but the Saints can conceivably pass the 49ers this week, with a win over the Vikings, and a Niners loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, on Monday night.
