New Orleans Saints backup linebacker and key special teams contributor Nate Stupar's 2017 season is officially over due to a torn ACL, according to multiple reports and first reported by nola.com.

Stupar suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of yesterday's win over the Detroit Lions while covering a punt, according to Herbie Teope of nola.com.

Stupar channeled his inner Arnold Schwarzenegger on twitter to let the world know he plans on returning next season.

In his 5th year out of Penn State, Stupar led the team in special teams snaps last season, and played multiple linebacker positions as a backup.

Stupar is the second Saints linebacker this year to endure a season ending injury. Starting rookie Alex Anzalone suffered a shoulder injury two weeks ago, landing on IR shortly thereafter.
