Saints’ Jimmy Graham Named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for Sept.

You might not be surprised over the news that Saints TE Jimmy Graham has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.

However you might be surprised at this fact:  No tight end has ever won that award...until now.

During the Saints 4-0 start, Graham has caught 27 passes for 458 yards and six touchdowns.  ESPN.com's Mike Triplett adds that ties him with Wes Welker of Denver for most receiving touchdowns and only Atlanta's Julio Jones has more yards receiving.
