The New Orleans Saints return to action on Sunday afternoon, when they play host to the Carolina Panthers in an NFC South match-up.

Kickoff time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. is scheduled for 3:25 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The game marks the first game of a stretch of three of the next four that the Saints will play at home.

The Panthers defeated the Saints, 27-23, back on September 27 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

New Orleans lost their third-consecutive game last week, falling to the Houston Texans, 24-6, and will enter the game at 4-7, while Carolina, the only remaining unbeaten team in the NFL, defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, 33-14, and are currently 11-0.

The Panthers lead the all-time series between the two franchises, 22-19, including that win over the Saints back in September.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 23.7 points-per-game, along with 401.2 total yards, including 304.5 passing yards, and 96.6 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns, along with running back Mark Ingram, who has rushed for 713 yards and 5 touchdowns, and receiver Brandin Cooks, who has caught 55 passes for 736 yards and 6 touchdowns.

The Panthers, offensively, are averaging 30.2 points, 348.7 total yards, 209.8 passing yards, and 138.9 rushing yards a game.

Carolina is paced by quarterback Cam Newton, who has thrown for 2,466 yards and 20 touchdowns, running back Jonathan Stewart, who has rushed for 832 yards and four touchdowns, and tight end Greg Olsen, who has caught 53 passes for 788 yards and 6 scores.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 418.6 yards-per-game, including 284.2 passing yards and 134.5 rushing yards, while the Panthers are allowing 312.5 total yards, including 223.8 passing yards and 88.7 rushing yards.
