The New Orleans Saints are back in action on Sunday afternoon, when they play host to the Carolina Panthers in an NFC South Division showdown.

Kickoff time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is scheduled for noon, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The Panthers lead the all-time series, 23-19, and have won three-straight against the Saints, including four of the last five.

New Orleans, who was idle last week, won their first game of the season back on October 2, with a 35-34 win over the San Diego Chargers, to improve to 1-3 on the young season, while Carolina, who lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 17-14, on Monday night, will enter the match-up at 1-4.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 28.5 points-per-game, along with 386.0 total yards, including 304.3 passing yards, and 81.8 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 1,269 yards and 10 touchdowns, along with running back Mark Ingram, who has rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown on 54 carries, and receiver Michael Thomas, who has caught 21 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

The Panthers, offensively, are averaging 24.6 points, 392.0 total yards, 267.4 passing yards, and 124.6 rushing yards a game this season.

Carolina is paced by quarterback Cam Newton, who has passed for 974 yards and six touchdowns, along with running back Fozzy Whittaker, who has rushed for 186 yards, and tight end Greg Olsen, who has compiled 33 receptions for 516 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 422.8 yards-per-game, including 301.3 passing yards and 121.5 rushing yards, while the Panthers have allowed 341.2 total yards, including 246.4 passing yards and 94.8 rushing yards.
