The New Orleans Saints are back in action on Sunday afternoon, when they hit the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC South showdown.

Kickoff time at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida is scheduled for noon, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, as well as 97.3 The Dawg.

The game marks the season finale for both teams, as both failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The Saints, who were knocked out of playoff contention last week, by falling to the Atlanta Falcons, 30-14, are currently to 6-9 on the season, which puts them in third place in the NFC South.

The Buccaneers, who fell to the Green Bay Packers, 20-3, last Sunday, have lost five-consecutive games, as well as 10 of their last 11, and will come in at 2-13 on the year, which currently puts them in last place in the NFC South.

New Orleans leads the all-time series, 28-17, while outscoring the Buccaneers, 986-821.

The Saints won the last meeting, 37-31, in overtime, back on October 5th in New Orleans.

Offensively, the Saints are averaging 25.2 points, 416.3 total yards, 299.7 passing yards, and 116.5 rushing yards-per-game.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 4,671 yards and 32 touchdowns, running back Mark Ingram, who has accumulated 907 rushing yards with eight touchdowns on 212 touches, and tight end Jimmy Graham, who has compiled 835 receiving yards, along with ten touchdowns, on 79 catches.

The Buccaneers, offensively, are averaging 17.1 points, 292.8 total yards, 213.3 passing yards, and 79.5 rushing yards a contest.

Tampa Bay is paced by quarterback Josh McCown, who has passed for 2,091 yards and 10 touchdowns, running back Bobby Rainey, who has rushed for 406 yards and one touchdown, and Mike Evans, who has 69 receptions for 997 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Defensively, the Saints are giving up an average of 390.9 yards-per-game, which ranks 31st in the league, while the Buccaneers are allowing 371.0, which ranks 26th.

This marks the second-consecutive season that the two teams have ended the regular season against each other.
