The New Orleans Saints came up a half yard short of a game tying touchdown on the last play of their season opening 42-34 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram could not get across the goal line on the final play of the game, as he was stuffed by the Packer defense. Had New Orleans punched it in, they would have attempted a two point conversion to force overtime.

Superstar quarterbacks Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers put on an offensive showcase, throwing for a combined 731 yards and 6 touchdowns.
