New Orleans Saints running back/kick returner Travaris Cadet made the roster as an undrafted free agent back in 2012.

In three seasons, he played primarily on special teams, while seeing action at running back on occasion, proving he could be a solid pass catcher at the position as well.

Last offseason, he signed with the New England Patriots after the Saints didn't tender him as a restricted free agent.

Cadet was waived by the Pats during the season, signing on with the San Francisco 49ers in November. After 5 games with San Fran, he was waived before Christmas, then signed with his former employer, the Saints.

In the final two games last season, Cadet caught 9 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown, ran 4 times for a dozen yards, and returned kicks and punts.

This offseason, the Saints won't let Cadet sign elsewhere. They announce today Cadet is returning to New Orleans on a one-year deal. Financial terms of the contract have not been disclosed.
