Could a former New Orleans Saints quarterback be returning to the organization?

Free agent quarterback Chase Daniel, who played with the Saints from 2009-2012, visited the team on Sunday.

After playing his college football at Missouri, where he threw for 12,515 yards and 101 touchdowns, Daniel was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Washington Redskins following the 2009 NFL Draft.

A victim of the final cuts by the Redskins, Daniel signed with New Orleans, where he played for four years, completing 7-of-9 passes for 55 yards.

A native of Irving, Texas, Daniel left the Saints in time for the 2013 season, signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, with whom he played for 3 seasons, passing for 409 yards and one touchdown.

After his contract with the Chiefs expired, Daniel signed a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles that made him the highest-paid backup in the NFL, at $7 million per year.

After one season in Philadelphia, in which he completed his only pass attempt for 16 yards, Daniel was released by the Eagles on March 13.

In parts of 8 NFL seasons, the 30-year old Daniel has completed 51-of-78 passes for 480 yards, to go along with one touchdown and one interception.
