Saints Agree To Terms With Half Of Their 2014 Draft Class
The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms with three of their 2014 draft picks on Friday.
Fifth-round picks Vinnie Sunseri and Ronald Powell, as well as sixth-round pick Tavon Rooks all inked four-year deals today with the Saints.
Sunseri, a safety out of Alabama, Powell, a linebacker out of Florida, and Rooks, an offensive tackle out of Kansas State, are all in New Orleans right now for rookie mini-camp.
The camp began this morning and will run through the weekend. All draft picks, including three unsigned players (1rst round pick Brandin Cooks, 2nd round pick Stanley Jean-Baptiste, and 4th round pick Khairi Fortt), as well as undrafted free agent signees and tryout players are all participating.
Last season, running back Khiry Robinson was a tryout player who made enough of an impact during rookie mini-camp to earn an invite to training camp. By the end of the season, he was playing a key role in the Saints offense during the playoffs.
