Sacramento Kings fans rejoiced last month when the Maloof brothers sold the franchise to billionare Vivek Ranadive. This meant the team wold remain in Sacramento, and fans now had a friendlier owner. The event was open to all fans. Each participant got one half-court shot, and if they hit it, would get free season tickets to Kings games. Ownership figured the chances of this were slim. Think again.
