A former LSU basketball player has a new NBA home.

Tim Quarterman, a guard at LSU from 2013-2016, was traded by the Portland Trailblazers to the Houston Rockets for cash considerations on Wednesday.

The 6-feet-6 Quarterman was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Blazers prior to last season. He appeared in 16 games as a rookie, averaging 1.9 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.

The 22-year old Quarterman averaged 11.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in his final season at LSU.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Quarterman joins former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Shawn Long, who was traded to he Rockets from the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
