Robert Meachem Misses Saints Practice With Back Issue

New Orleans Saints veteran wide receiver Robert Meachem missed today's morning practice at training camp with a back issue.

When head coach Sean Payton was asked about Meachem's absence, he said Robert was suffering from back tightness.

Meachem addressed the injury via twitter.

The 29 year old Meachem is entering his 8th NFL season. While his tenure and time in Payton's offensive system give him an edge, he's not a lock to make the 53 man roster.

Pro Bowl offensive guard Ben Grubbs was limited at practice, though Payton wouldn't give a specific reason. Grubb's participated in OTA's and mini-camp earlier this summer on a limited basis as well.
