Joe Robbins and Brian Mills combined for five hits and seven RBI Tuesday night to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns over Tulane, 9-2 Tuesday night at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Evan Guillory (3-3) turned in another sparkling performance on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits in seven innings of work.  He did not walk a batter and struck out six in a 94 pitch outing.  Eric Carter struck out five in the final two innings as the Cajuns combined for no walks and eleven strikeouts.

"It was really great to see our hitters come through with some big licks with men on base," Louisiana head coach Tony Robichaux said.  And, Evan was really solid again tonight.  We didn't give up any free base runners tonight and that was the difference."

Robbins got Louisiana (22-11) on the board in the second inning with a two run homer over the left field wall off Green Wave starter J. P. France (2-1), scoring Stefan Trosclair who had reached on an error.  The homer was Robbins' eighth of the season and his first since March 25th.  The Cajuns added to the lead in the third inning when Derek Herrington walked and scored on Mills' first of two doubles on the night.  Kyle Clement singled and Trosclair walked to load the bases and Robbins followed with a two run single to put the Cajuns up 5-0 to the delight of the crowd of 4,159.

A one out walk to Nick Thurman in the fourth was followed by a Herrington double and Mills followed with his second double of the night to plate two more runs to make the score 7-0, and, after Tulane got a run on Jake Willsey's RBi double in the fifth, a Thurman sacrifice fly and a wild pitch plated two more runs to make the score 9-1.  Hunter Hope's ninth home run of the season in the seventh concluded the scoring.

France took the loss for Tulane (21-11), giving up five hits and seven runs, six earned in 3.1 innings.  He walked three and struck out three.  The Cajuns took advantage of six walks and a hit batsman in the contest with five of those coming in innings when the Cajuns scored.

Robbins had three hits in the game, while Mills and Clement had two apiece.  Hope and Willsey had two hits each for Tulane.

Louisiana now travels to New Orleans tomorrow night to take on the UNO Privateers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
