Years before memorabilia-gate, former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel had other issues with compliance at the school.

Former athletics director Andy Geiger rated Tressel "unacceptable" when it came to self-reporting violations in a timely manner back in 2005-06.  In a separate letter, Geiger told Tressel he needed to monitor the cars that players were driving.

Tressel also gave a recruit a Buckeyes jersey, which is a clear violation of NCAA rules, even before he coached his first game.
