New Orleans Saints linebacker and defensive captain Curtis Lofton is reportedly being "shopped" by the franchise on the NFL trade market, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Lofton has spent the last 3 seasons of his 7 year career with the Saints. The inside linebacker hasn't missed a single game during his pro career.

Lofton led the Saints in tackles in 2014 with 144.

He is due to count $9.25 million against the cap next season.

New Orleans is approximately $22 million over the projected salary cap for 2015, a number they must get below by the afternoon of March 10th.
