New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans reportedly underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, according to a report from Brett Dawson.

No timetable for his return has been reported. Typically, arthroscopic surgeries are minor based on the small incisions, but recovery time varies based on the individual.

The Pelicans are thin at guard one week away from their season opener. Point guard Jrue Holiday is on a 10 to 15 minute restriction until January due to a previous stress fracture, while point guard Norris Cole will miss the beginning of the season with a high ankle sprain.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry stated at media day last month he envisioned Evans playing primarily at point guard.
