Report: Ohio State QB Braxton Miller Considering Transfer To LSU

According to a report from Baton Rouge television station WAFB, Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, a two-time Big 10 MVP, is considering a transfer to LSU and it is a "likely scenario".

Miller suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder during 2014 fall practices, missing the entire season. He was replaced by redshirt freshmen J.T. Barrett, who played marvelously before he too, suffered a season-ending injury.

Barrett was then replaced at QB by sophomore Cardale Jones, who led the Buckeyes to a 59-0 victory over Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship game, as well as an impressive 42-35 victory over #1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl college football playoff game last Thursday, punching the Buckeyes ticket to the national championship game.

In the potential scenario that Miller transfers, he would be eligible to play right away as a graduate transfer, and would have one year of eligibility remaining.

LSU starting quarterback Anthony Jennings struggled in his sophomore campaign, while freshmen Brandon Harris lost 41-7 at Auburn in his lone start.

In two seasons as a starter at Ohio State, Miller completed 60.9 percent of his passes for 4,133 yards with 64 total touchdowns (39 passing, 25 rushing). He also rushed for 2,339 yards.

News of Miller's interest comes one day after Jim Kleinpeter of Nola.com/The Times Picayune reported Notre Dame QB Everett Golson reached out to the Tigers about potentially transferring. Golson would need to receive a waiver from Notre Dame, but as a graduate transfer, would also be eligible to play right away.
