Rumors of New England Patriots Malcolm Butler being traded to the New Orleans Saints are becoming thinner by the day.

According to Peter King, the New England Patriots are unlikely to trade Butler. Adam Schefter of ESPN released as similar report as well.

Butler, a restricted free agent, signed his one-year tender from the Pats last week. It will pay him $3.91 million in 2017.

Butler has been a target of the Saints, visiting with New Orleans last month.

Saints head coach Sean Payton hinted the team would be interested in a potential trade for Butler once he signed his tender.

New Orleans has 7 picks in this week's NFL Draft, including 5 in the first 3 rounds.
