Indianapolis 19 – Houston 16

Reggie Wayne caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Dan Orlovsky with 19 seconds to play, and the Indianapolis Colts beat the Houston Texans 19-16 on Thursday night. Indianapolis (2-13) won its second straight game. The Texans led throughout the entire contest until Wayne’s catch, but they could not put the Colts away. AFC South champion Houston (11-4) is now 0-10 in Indianapolis.

Arian Foster’s 9-yard touchdown run just over a minute into the game was the only touchdown the Texans would score. After the Foster touchdown, the teams’ place kickers recorded all the game’s points, with Adam Vinatieri kicking four field goals for the Colts and Neil Rackers tallying three kicks for Houston. Rackers’ last field goal, with 1:56 to play, gave Houston a 16-12 advantage. Indianapolis then drove 78 yards on 12 plays, capped by Orlovsky’s game-winning pass to Wayne.

Orlovsky completed 23 of 41 passes for 244 yards and the touchdown to Wayne, who had eight receptions for 108 yards. Joseph Addai ran for 59 yards for Indianapolis. Rookie quarterback T.J. Yates passed for just 132 yards for Houston. He was sacked four times. Arian Foster led the Texans with 23 carries for 158 yards and a touchdown.
