After serving as a senior assistant for the Tennessee Titans in 2013, former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will reportedly reunite with Jeff Fisher in St. Louis, taking over the newly vacated Rams defensive coordinator position.

Williams, who was suspended for all of 2012 for his alleged role in "boutygate", spent the latter part of the 90s as defensive coordinator in Tennessee when Fisher was the head coach of the Titans. He helped Tennessee reach the Super Bowl in '99, and helped the Saints win the Super Bowl in '09.

While a deal is not official yet, Chris Mortensen and Nick Wagoner of espn.com report the Rams are planning on hiring Williams...again.

Williams was hired by Fisher in early 2012, before he was suspended indefinitely (at the time) for "boutygate". Williams' son Blake served as an interim DC in 2012, before Tim Walton held the position in 2013. Walton was fired today.

In another Saints connection, the Rams reportedly offered the job last offseason to current Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, only to see Ryan change his mind before inking a deal.

Gregg marks the third DC in three years for St. Louis. The Rams have notable talent on that side of the ball, including defensive ends Robert Quinn and Chris Long.
