For the third straight year, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are Sun Belt Conference Champions.

Head Coach Tony Robichaux's ball clubs continue to play their best baseball at the end of the season, and their 10th straight win led to their third straight Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship. Wyatt Marks pitched a gem on the mound (7.0 IP, 10 K, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER), and the Most Oustanding Player of the tournament, Nick Thurman, came though in the clutch again.

In the 5-0 shutout of Georgia Southern, Marks was absolutely filthy. After resting for two weeks, he unleashed his full wrath on the Eagles for seven whole innings. A few times this season, he pitched well but got stuck with the loss because of poor run support. That wasn't the case Sunday, and the seniors made sure he got the win.

Brian Mills and Joe Robbins provided two huge RBI in the fifth inning, Kyle Clement added to the lead with a sacrifice fly in the 7th, and Thurman sealed the deal with a two-run jack in the 8th inning.

Dylan Moore came in for the final two innings of the game, and he picked up his 13th save of the season to help the Cajuns hoist the championship trophy again.

Not only did the Ragin' Cajuns win the Sun Belt Championship, they won it playing the minimum amount of games. Their pitchers will be fresh heading into the NCAA Tournament, where they might be hosting a regional...

There's never been a more deserving candidate for Most Outstanding Player than Nick Thurman. The Cajuns' calming presence behind the plate performed like a senior leader the final two games, providing five massive RBI against Arkansas State in the semifinals and capping off the championship with a two run homer.

Coach Robe said their goals for the season were to win 40 games, claim a Sun Belt Championship and host a regional. Two of the three items are checked off the list. Hopefully, we will have #OneMooreWeek at M.L. Tigue Moore Field.

Even if the Cajuns have to hit the road for the regionals, fans should sleep easily knowing their team is playing their best baseball. The real fun starts this week...
