In this edition of "Not Necessarily The News," Tootie Landry gets to tag along with the guys from Sportsradio ESPN 1420 as they covered the big game against ULM.

"Hey! I’m Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today! This past weekend, I got to tag along with Jay Walker, Steve Peloquin, and Gerald Broussard as they covered the UL vs. ULM game for ESPN radio. I didn’t have to worry about being late for this game; these “cats” arrive 4 hours before kickoff!

Once the game started, they turned it up a notch! They are reading emails, keeping stats, working on their iPads, and all the while not missing a call! I was still trying to process the last sack which was 2 plays ago! I was dying to help! I just wanted them to ask me one question, but I have to admit, I needed Rosetta Stone to learn the foreign language they were speaking!

For example:

They were talking about slots, not the gaming kind either.

And depth charts, I don’t think this had anything to do with the players eyesight.

And decoys in coverage, this is not to be confused with any ducks hiding in the grass.

Naked routes… what?! As far as I could tell, everyone had kept their clothes on.

And finally, I now know that if a biscuit was left on a players head, it probably was not bought at Edie’s that morning! And I'm Tootie Landry and this is “Not Necessarily the News!”
