Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team will continue a run of playing non-conference games against SEC schools over the next few years.

UL Athletic Director Scott Farmer announced yesterday during an interview with Jay Walker on ESPN 1420 that the Cajuns will play Alabama in 2018. That trip to Tuscaloosa will pay UL a reported $1.25 million.

This adds to the trek the Cajuns will take later this season to Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. Next year, Louisiana will travel to Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

The university recently announced an interesting "home-and-Dome" with Mississippi State. The Cajuns will play in Starkville in 2018 and then "host" the Bulldogs in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans to start the 2019 season.

Back to the Cajuns and Crimson Tide. The 2018 matchup will be the 9th in the two schools' history. The last time they met was in 1990 in Lafayette when Alabama won 25-6.

UL is 0-39 all-time against Southeastern Conference schools.
