After months of speculation, it appears that fans of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns can rejoice as head football coach Mark Hudspeth has reportedly signed his contract extension.

Hudspeth said he signed a contract extension with the school on Wednesday and the contract now needs to be signed by athletic director Scott Farmer and president Joe Savoie. Then the paperwork will be sent to the UL System Board of Supervisors for final approval.

Neither side has revealed financial terms, but it is known that the three-year extension means Hudspeth will be under contract through the end of the 2019 season.

Hudspeth's current deal runs through the end of the 2016 season and pays him $750,000 annually plus contingent premium benefits, supplemental compensation and incentive-based bonuses.

Mark Hudspeth is 27-12 overall as head coach of the Cajun in his three seasons with the three New Orleans Bowl victories and one Sun Belt Conference championship.
