Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team gave WKU all they wanted in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference tournament, but couldn't hang on late, falling to the Toppers 67-61.

Sylvana Okde was on fire from beyond the arc (7-13), scoring 21 points, all of them 3-pointers. As a team, the Cajuns made a season-high 10 triples.

"I was just trying to get back at it," Okde said after the loss. "We felt, as a team, that we were ready to take it from them. We changed things up a little, I was playing near the top and they stuck me in the corner, so I knew it was time for me to shoot and I had to make shots. Without Kia (Wilridge) and Jaylyn (Gordon) and everyone able to pass the ball, it wouldn't have worked. It was a team effort tonight."

Wilridge added 12 points and 4 assists for Louisiana. Gordon had 8 and 5.

"I was impressed with how our team played…the Cajun way," coach Garry Broadhead said after the loss. "We defended as best we could. They outrebounded us, and they're a really good WKU team. I was excited for our kids to have this opportunity to bring them to the tournament and have a chance to win late. I thought our kids played hard. We fell short, but we have everybody coming back, so we're excited about what we're trying to do."

Louisiana ends their season with a 14-16 record.
