Ragin’ Cajun Softballer Daneilla Chavez Named Sun Belt Player Of The Week

Louisiana Ragin' Cajun junior softballer Daneilla Chavez earned a much deserved honor for the first time in her career today.

The designated player led all Cajun batters in last week's sweep at Georgia Southern with 6 RBI, 4 hits and 2 runs.

For her efforts, Chavez was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week today.

Chavez's honor marks the 6th time in 8 weeks this season a Ragin' Cajun earned conference player of the week honors.
