Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team finishes the 2016 season ranked in the top 15 once again, coming in at #12 in the USA Today/NFCA listing and #14 ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

It marks the 5th consecutive season the Cajuns finish the year as a top 15 squad.

The longest streak of consecutive top 15 finishes in school history is 8, coming from 1990 to 1997.

Louisiana  (46-9, 21-2 Sun Belt) won the 2016 Sun Belt title on their way to winning the Lafayette Regional. Their season came to an end at the Norman Super Regional when they fell to eventual Women's College World Series champion Oklahoma.
