Louisiana Ragin' Cajun quarterback appeared motivated by the fact he was left of the Maxwell Award watch list last week.

"Thank you @TheMaxwellAward for not putting me on the list," tweeted Broadway. "Can't say I'm disappointed cause I'm not, just Gave me hunger pains! Quarter by Quarter #AudienceOf1."

Another prestigious award watch list was released today, but this time, Terrance Broadway's name was next to 33 other quarterbacks on the Davey O'Brien watch list.

"I consider it an honor that the Davey O'Brien Foundation has named me to the Davey O'Brien Watch List," says Broadway.  "Although preseason recognition is nice, it has no affect on the season.  It doesn't matter where you start, it is where you finish."

Last season, Broadway finished as MVP of the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The MVP capped off an impressive season where he set school records for total offense (3,611) and completion percentage (.654).  He ranked third in the Sun Belt in passing efficiency (153.3), fourth in total offense (277.8), seventh in passing average (218.6) and eighth in rushing (59.2).

Perhaps Ragin' Cajun head coach Mark Hudspeth can use Broadway's exclusion from one list to motivate his quarterback, just as much as Broadway's inclusion on another.

Last year's Davey O'Brien winner was Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, who was also award the Heisman Trophy. The Davey O'Brien award will narrow its list down to 16 semifinalists on November 4th.
