Throughout the season we'll be keeping an eye on not only the Pelicans but the Top 5 in the NBA on a weekly basis, you can check out the entire list here.

The New Orleans Pelicans had another solid week last week going 2-1 with two wins to begin the week at home against the Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers before they fell at Minnesota to end the week.

With the 2-1 record last week New Orleans rose in the Weekly Power Rankings from 22nd to 20th and they're 20-23.

Here is this week's Top 5:

  1. Toronto Raptors (33-12)-Up two from 3
  2. Golden State Warriors (29-14)-Steady at 2
  3. Milwaukee Bucks (30-12)-Down two from 1
  4. Denver Nuggets (29-13)-Steady at 4
  5. Indiana Pacers (28-14)-Steady at 5

The Pelicans are starting to get a little bit healthier as they've gotten Nikola Mirotic back in the mix which has certainly helped.

This week New Orleans has three games and they're all on the road, this will be a big test for this team moving forward. The road swing starts Monday night with the Los Angeles Clippers (24-18), then a short trip over to Golden State to take on the Warriors on Wednesday, and finally they finish up the week Friday to face the Portland Trailblazers (26-18).
