LSU's first season under head coach Nikki Caldwell came to an end last night when the #5 seeded Lady Tigers lost to #4 seed Penn State, 90-80 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers (23-11) trailed by only three points, 76-73 with 2:19 remaining, but couldn't get any closer.

LaSondra Barrett led LSU with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The Tigers failed to win a game this year when they allowed more than 70 points (0-6).
