The University of Arkansas dismissed Head Coach John Pelphrey after four seasons at the school.  Pelphrey, an honored player at Kentucky, an assistant under Billy Donovan at Florida and a successful head coach at South Alabama, was 69-59 in his four years in Fayetteville.

Attendance had declined considerably at Bud Walton Arena in the past couple of seasons.  Pelphrey, who had three years remaining on his contract, will receive a negotiated buyout sum.
