When you get your butt handed to you by the 76ers, you officially reached rock bottom. How does it feel, Pelicans fans?

Philly has the art of "tanking" down to a key, so it's not like the Pelicans had to do a whole lot to pick up the victory. New Orleans fell apart in the second half against a crew of misfits, and the result was an embarrassing 107-93 loss on the road. Even with all the injuries, losing to the 76ers still hurts.

With the win, Philly avoided finishing with the worst record in NBA history and recorded only their 10th win of the season. With the loss, the Pelicans dropped to 29-48. It was their 30th loss on the road this season, which is an ugly number even with the endless injuries.

It was embarassing. The 76ers scored 16 fast break points off 17 Pelican turnovers, and the lead sat around 20 points for almost the whole fourth quarter. Sure, five different Pels scored in double-figures (Cunningham 19, Babbitt 16, Ajinca/Frazier 12, Ennis 11), but don't let the box score fool you. It's always a bad loss when you let the Sixers win.

With nine players out with season-ending injuries, the darkness is closing in on Pelicans' fans. At this point, with the sixth worst record in the NBA, all there really is to look forward to is the NBA Draft. In a year where Alvin Gentry was expected to take Anthony Davis deeper into the playoffs, the Pelicans fell flat on their face. Voodoo curse or not, the losses are piling up.
