The New Orleans Pelicans put together an awesome 4th quarter of basketball in Utah Wednesday night, propelling them to a 104-94 victory over the Jazz.

The Pelicans trailed by 16 entering the final frame, continuing a relentless effort led by solid defense, communication, and three point shots.

"It was a beautiful effort tonight, especially on the defensive end," said Pelicans star Anthony Davis. "We just stayed with it...came down with some big defensive plays and got the win."

The victory is the first this season for New Orleans when they trailed at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Davis chipped in his usual double-double (17 points, 13 rebounds), while Ryan Anderson came off the bench to lead the Pelicans with 24 points, including an impressive 13 of 13 from the charity stripe.

Anderson made a conscious effort to drive to the goal, leading to free throws and open looks for his teammates.

"When we drive and move the ball, guys are going to be open," explained Davis.

Eric Gordon scored 19, including 4 three pointers. Jrue Holiday scored 15 off the pine, including a game-sealing three in the final two minutes.

As a team, the Pelicans made 10 triples, a big factor in earning their second road win of the season.

With the victory, New Orleans stands at 7-18. Next up, a Friday night matchup in Phoenix with the Sun. Tip-off is set for 9:30.
