Jordan Hamilton has signed with the New Orleans Pelicans for the remainder of the season, the team announced today.

Hamilton signed a 10 day contract with the Pels on March 25th, playing in all 5 games, starting in 3.

He was signed out of the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

The 26th pick of the 2011 draft out of Texas, Hamilton spent time with the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets before his time with the Vipers.

In 5 contests with the Pelicans, he's averaged 28 mintues,11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1 steal a game.

New Orleans (29-47) has been decimated by injuries this season. With 6 games left, they'll try to get through the final 9 days of the season.
