New Orleans Pelicans center Alexis Ajinca exited Saturday's preseason game against the Indiana Pacers in the second quarter and did not return.

Today, the team announced Ajinca suffered a right hamstring strain and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks of action.

A 7'2, 220 lb center from France, Ajinca played in 68 games last season with the Pelicans. He averaged 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest, both career bests.

Ajinca signed with the Pelicans in December of 2013, and re-signed with the club last summer with a 4 year, $20.2 million contract.
