The New Orleans Pelicans continue the "run it back" offseason theme, agreeing to terms with forward Dante Cunningham.

According to multiple reports, Cunningham will return to the Pels on a 3 year, $9 million deal. The third year of the deal contains a player opt out option.

A 28-year old role player known for his hustle, Cunningham averaged 5.2 points and 3.9 rebounds on 46 percent shooting in 66 games with New Orleans last season.

Cunningham played small forward and power forward last season, filling various roles in the lineup while the Pelicans dealt with a barrage of injuries.

He doesn't possess consistent three point range, but is efficient on long range twos. If he can improve his range by a few feet, his ability to stretch the floor on offense while being a consistent asset on defense would likely lead to more minutes in the rotation.
